Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
An 18-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were having sex in the back seat of a car in a hotel parking lot where a school dance was being held. It is highly likely that other minors (two 16-year-old females and one 16-year-old male) were witnesses to at least part of the act.
What potential charges could each of them face? If convicted of any of the charges, would either be required to register as sex-offenders?
Thank you.

The two people having sex in public could conceivably be charged with public indecency.
