17 y/o son just turned 18...waived to adult court
My son turned 18 four days after being arrested on d felony (battery). He broke another boys jaw requiring surgery. This was my son's first offense. Initial hearing was in juvenile court, PA wants waived to adult court. Son was released on home detention with bracelet. My son had a counseling follow-up appt sched this thurs, probation officer denied. I'm not one of those mothers who tries to get her kid out of trouble, that's not the case here. I just think the punishment is excessive for a first offense. We have completely cooperated with everything ordered. Entire family (husband, daughter, son-one being charged, and myself). All dressed appropriately...and still such a stiff sentence. I could write a lot more, but space does not permit....please help

Re: 17 y/o son just turned 18...waived to adult court
What you've described appears to be a condition of pre trial release. A sentence comes only after finding of guilty. A full review of your son's case seems to be in order. You may wish to seek out legal counsel for him as soon as possible.
