Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
I accidently admitted to stealing a wallet when questioned by police without a lawyer present. Am I going to jail?
I live in Indiana and I am 19 years old. I have no previous record and the detective said it was a felony. I Kind Of was pressured into admitting to it. Will I have any chance for probation or community service or something. I am terrified of jail and will this effect my job that I just recently landed? Please speak from experience or personal accounts of something similar to this
i also used credit cards from out of the wallet does that change anything? they let me go after asking me questions but said a warrant would be out soon. i am really stressing out. i have contacted 2 local lawyers. can they do anything for me?
I also the credit cards i used didnt amount to anything but 75-100 $ worth. isnt the limit $5000 for it to be a felony?
