assisting a criminal

I willingly let a crimianl stay at my home, I then wanted him to leave. He would not until I gave him money and called him a cab. I then helped th family and polce with findindg him and he was arrestd. now I have been charged with assisting a criminal. Since then I have been in treatment for susbtance abuse for 10 tens inpatient and 10 out-patient. I have been out of reatment since 8-17-07. Also have been diagnosed with Ptsd, Bipolar. I just received the summons two days ago. will this help in my behalf. And Also will my hospital records help.

Probably not because you're not being charged with some sort of substance abuse offense. Also, unless you can use your diagnosis to show that you don't know the difference between right and wrong, that will be of no help to you either.
