Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

i was assulted in july 2010 by my dad the cops came took pictures of my brused body... i was pregnet at the time...the cops asked if i wanted to press charges i said yes... i did not do it that nite cause i was too distrot i went too a friends.. to stay the nite do to some inconviences 3 months later i asked if i could still press charges on my dad the local cops said that he would have to check with his supervisor an call me back months later it is now 2011 can i still press charges o n my dad.....too add a note he had assulted my next door neighbor and was not allowed to get in to any trouble

Call your county prosecutor and talk to the victim's advocate about this.
