say somebody robbed a bank with no weapons just a note what kind of charges and time could they be looking at.

Say, somebody got some really great advice from an attorney about how to rob a bank without getting charged with armed robbery, and the guy got shot, killed, and didn't do any time.

Can his family sue the lawyer for malpractice?

One stupid question deserves another.

Lawyers aren't allowed to help you plan crimes and neither is anyone else.
