Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

My boyfriend was accused by his cousin of touching her. He was arrested and charged. Her story was not consistent. He spent 258 days in jail cause he was not able to make bail. His public deffender told him to take the plea cause he would get more time if it went to court. He was beat in jail by the guards and seen no other way then to take the plea. This happened in Indiana. At the time he lived in Alabama, he was there to help his aunt with her kids. The evidence did not support her story and he was not treated fairly. He has never been in trouble before this and is well loved by everyone who knows him. What can we do to fight this? Where do we start to correct this injustice?

It is very difficult to set aside a plea. You will need to meet with a criminal law attorney to discuss all of the details.
