Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
My brother is in jail right now awaiting trial in which they are wanting to convict him. They tried to get him to sign a plea for 6 years but he isn't going to because he is innocent. The people who pressed charges are dropping the charges and coming forward with what really happened which would prove his innocence. When they do thay, will my brother be released that day or soon after? Or will they make him wait a whole month in jail as an innocent person until his trial?

His attorney is the best person to ask, but the prosecutor is the one pressing charges, not the victim, and therefore a victim, real or not, cannot drop the charges.
