Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

I have a brother who lives in China who is disgruntled with the family... but mostly me. We haven't even seen him in 2 or 3 years. Two weeks ago we had a visit from his 2 daughters(12 and 9). They stayed for about 6 days while their mother was at a conference. We all had a lovely time.

Apparently when he drinks he thinks of ways he can hurt us/me. So he has threatened to kill me and call the police saying that I molested his children!

Besides a restraining order, going to the police to prove his threatening texts, is there anyway i can protect myself from something so slanderous?

Again, the girls live in Arizona with their mom, he lives in China... They are divorced for about 4 years. He is 48,i am 45.....

Can you just tell me how to protect myself? I am a teacher and cannot have something like that! All of my family is on my side and can help.

If you can't help, what kind of lawyer do i search for?

If he has threatened to kill you, you can obtain a protective order. Be sure in the future that there are witnesses whenever you are with his children. You could have a lawyer send a cease and desist letter. You could also file a suit for slander if he makes his comments public.
