Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
My brother is recently divorced. He bought out my former sister in law. Saturday while my brother was no home my former sister in law took my oldest nephew (aged 14) to my brother's house and told him to go in and search my brother's drawers and find an iPod. He did and found one in my brother's sock drawer. Colyn ((my nephew) stole it at the bequest of his mother. What crime is this and is it my nephew's crime or my sister in law's

If his father doesn't consent to the taking, then it is theft. If he and his mother decided together to commit the crime, then they are both liable.
