Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
My brother has served 17 years LWOP for a juvenile murder conviction. He was in solitary and missed appeals deadlines and messed up his appeal because he filed by himself. That was years ago. Is there any way he can file an appeal today? He plead guilty without a trial. A supreme court justice even said his case was mishandled and that he deserves a trial, but the other judges disagreed. Is there any hope for him to get a trial or have his case looked at?
