Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
Criminal Recklessness
What is the maximum sentence for Criminal Recklessness class D felony? I believe it is a class D felony because there was bodily injury caused by a vehicle. With a prior record, is there any chance a judge will reduce that charge to a class A misdemeanor?

Re: Criminal Recklessness
The maximum penalty is three years in prison. Misdemeanor sentencing is possible, in which case the maximum sentence would be 1 year. There are restrictions on who is eligible for misdemeanor sentencing.
