Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
Criminal Trespass Charge and arrest at Horseshoe Casino
I don't have funds for an attorney short of the $1,000 bond for entering Horseshoe Casino on 7/12/2008 when I self excluded from the Empress Casino in Illinois which was later purchased by Horseshoe. Horseshoe had evicted me in 2002 AFTER they let me cash checks, get cash advances and even win a jackpot. When I tried to straighten out the inconsistencies with letters in 2002, they took a hard line because they knew their actions were wrong. Now, 6 years later after I had not gone on their premises in 6 years, prior to Indiana coming up with a State self exclusion law for 1, 3 or 5 years, they arrest me and send me to jail under a $1,000 bond after I pleaded for medical attention at the Horseshoe Security. My heart was pounding and their security personnel took my blood pressure at 200/100 and asked the security Shift Supervisor to let me go because my Pressure was dangerously high, but the Shift Sup still called the Hammond police and had me arrested. I've never been in trouble in my life, am a law-abiding 30-year legal secretary in Chicago

If you don't have money for an attorney, I recommend you talk to a public defender. It probably wouldn't hurt for you to get counseling for your addiction issues - and would also look good to a Judge.
