If cases and law were that simple we would not need Judge's to decide them. Only an experienced lawyer can evaluate you and your case and help guide you through the process. A class D felony in Indiana does carry a minimum 6 month sentence and a maximum 3 year executed sentence at the Department of Corrections. What can actually happen in any particular case depends on many factors besides the charge and sentencing possibilities. You should speak with a lawyer and ONLY a lawyer about your case as soon as you can for specific advice about how to proceed.
