Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
I have been falsely accused of theft. I have a court date of 10/05/09 for a criminal conversion misdeamor, according to the detective in the case. Should I have attorney with me?

If the 10/5/09 date is the initial hearing, you can plead not guilty without a lawyer. There is no reason to wait until then to go talk to one however, and that attorney can tell you more about how initial hearings run in your county.
