Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
My father (who is 77) has been arrested for shoplifting (conversion). He suffers from Alzheimers and I'm not sure he really understands what's happening to him. He has a letter from his doctor stating his disease and that he is cognitivly impared. Would an attorney help in this case or will the Judge see him and the letter and realize he's not a criminal?
