Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
no filed charges
i have a battery charge on my record that was not filed. I have been asked to supply my records for a job. This is showing up on my record. I never had a court date for it and when i was released they told me it was a no file because i didnt actually commit this crime. How can i get this off my record? Its stopping me from getting a job.

Re: no filed charges
Depending on the circumstances of it not being filed, you can have it expunged from your record.
You would need to file a motion with the court and have the Judge approve it in order for it to come off your record.
