Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

my girlfriend was 17, i was 23. she began wanting a baby, and we talked and made a lifetime commitment to our relationship, she became pregnant afterwards, but when the baby was born she left my name off the certificate. when she turns 18 she and i want to add my name to the birth certificate, first i want to know if we go about doing this will it stir up any unwanted legal or court stuff. i dont want to open a can of worms just to add my name to the birth certificate. and 2: how do we go about adding the fathers name to the birth certificate. we had parental consent to be together and we openly shared affection, but no sexual contact until her daughter came to me and was ready to go there. we plan to get married when she turns 18. wich is in july. baby was born in january. and my fiance's mother will back us up on anything. what do u suggest we do?
