Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
If something happened, and I may get charged for it, do I need to get an attorney right now or wait until I find out the charges?

You need to at least be make preparations to hire a lawyer. Do NOT go speak to the police without an attorney. It is a common tactic for the police to try to get a statement from you before they file the charges. Do not fall into the trap of thinking you can explain your way out of being charged.
