Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

My husband was arrested on domestic violence charges. The incident was not bad enough for police involvement, but I overreacted and called the police. My husband was not here when the police arrived. 6 weeks later the police came back with a warrant for my husband's arrest. The state also put a protective order on me, so I have not been able to write, see or talk to my husband since his arrest. His bond is 20,000 dollars and I do not have 2,000 dollars to pay the bail. I am in a wheelchair and my husband is my sole caregiver. I require 24 hour around the clock care and there is no one else who is able or willing to care for me. My question is, how do I get the charges and the protective order dismissed?

You can't get the criminal charges dismissed. If the protective order is civil in nature, you may be able to ask the judge to amend or dismiss. I don't know why it would be "on you" unless you were accused of some bad action as well.
