Is it illegal in any situation to shoot some one in the back?

I think you are asking whether it is illegal (and never a defense to a criminal charge) in ALL situations to shoot someone in the back. If that is your question the answer is no, there are some situations where that could be such a defense. If that is not your question, post more facts.
