Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

In Indiana If four boys are sharing an apartment, and Marijuana is found in the living room and not claimed are they all in trouble? Even if one wasn\'t at home at the time, would he be in trouble? What if it were found in one of the bedrooms and not in the living room, but not claimed? Each have their own lease, would that make a difference? All are on probation for mj possesion. thanks

The living room is a the common area presumably, and all of the boys could have trouble unless one steps up and says \"It was all mine\". If found in a bedroom, the residents of the other bedrooms have a good argument that, without more evidence, the state can\'t prove possession. Anyone who is now on probation and is facing this set of facts should contact an attorney in their community right away.
