Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
Internet Sites Visited
I was watching DR Phil about meth addiction today and out of curiosity looked up some websites pertaining to the accessibility of meth and cooking methods. I clicked on a site that said it had ''ingredients''. There was a disclaimer stating I was only using this for ''educational purposes'' I clicked on it only to be taken to the Justice Department website. It had my IP address listed as well as all of my internet information and it said they would be ''visiting Evansville soon'' Do they keep some sort of log or does this sound like some type of ruse? I don't think this is a joke because there is no way they would have my info that quick. Will police come to my home. Thank you

Re: Internet Sites Visited
You haven't committed a crime by viewing something online. Relax. You'll be fine. It's probably just a tactic by law enforcement to scare people. If you are contacted by law enforcement, do not make any statements until you've contacted an attorney. My office is in Evansville, so I'd be glad to discuss it with you.
