Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
I have been issued a subpoena for a case in which i was a victim of misdemeaner assault in a domestic situation in the state of Indiana. I do not wish for this person to be charged, in fact I told the prosecutor this from day one. What are my best options? The defendent's lawyer stated if i do not show up, the case will dropped however I have researched this and I could be charged with contempt of court and face my own set of legal problems which could cost me my job. What is the best thing for me to do?
