Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
What happens when the Lawyer you have hired and paid dies while handling your case,leaving you setting in jail? By the way,this has just happened to my niece,as she site in jail and we have no way of knowing how to help her....

Most solo lawyers have a plan for someone to take over their cases. If yours did not, a new attorney needs to be hired. If she can not afford one, she should ask the judge to appoint one.
