Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
Lawyer's Obligation?
If a person is seeking legal counsel and has an outstanding warrant, is that lawyer obligated to turn that person in?
Or can they give them legal counsel without informing the courts, if that person is willing to ''turn themselves in'' after legal advice has been given?

Re: Lawyer's Obligation?
A lawyer is not obligated to turn a person in. In fact, it may be forbidden by the ethical rules to turn one's own client in.
