Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
I was living with my best friend for 3 months, and my job was to babysit/nanny her 2 year old daughter every day for at least 8 hours. Her daughter was like my own, I was there all the time with her!!! When she would do something wrong, get into something, etc. I would give her a VERY light "spanking"...her mother is the same way so I would enforce the same rules of discipline that her mother would. I didn't spank her often, or hard. Now I am moved out and we don't get along, and she is wanting to press charges against me for "abusing her child". She is having her friends be "witnesses" to testify against me in court and is determined to get me into trouble. Could I get into serious trouble for this? What should I be prepared for?

You should be prepared to hire an attorney if arrested. Next time, do not physically punish another person's child and put yourself at risk.
