Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

My mother was severely beaten by her brother, my uncle almost a month ago. My uncle has been in and out of prison. Hes 31 now and is only other home than living with his mother is prison. Every time he gets out he comes right back and wont leave or get a job(hes never had a job) or do anything besides thrweaten people and cause problems. His mother doesnt want him there, but he refuses to leave. Me and my mother live on the same property but a diff. residence owned by my gran too, shes my guardian too. So he beat my mother soo badly she had to be taken to the hospital. He broke her leg from stomping on it, and blacked her eye and split her lip andforhead open, bruised her ribs etc.. It was bad it happened in his girlfriends casr while his girl was driving then he drug her out of the car and onto the sidewalk at someones house and sped off when the cops came to the hospital they took pictures and said it was considered domestic battery since we all receive mail at the same house. WE ALL want him gone but we cant pay the 88 dollars for eviction and my gran is old and tried. Help! Why havent they arrested him or made him leave weve called the police on him sooo many times , she went and pressed charges like you have tpo when its domestic, why wont anyone do anything?
