Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

I was in a parking lot when my motorcycle crashed, ans since I was hurt, the officer took me to the hospital, I agreed to a blood test to test for drugs& alcohol.. I was negative for drugs but my blood alcohol level was over the legal limit. he was going to take me to jail but since I was cooperative, he said he would just write up a report. I found out 5 days later there was a warrant for my arrest and I turned myself in within hours of knowing this. I plead not guilty and was given a pre trial date of July 19, 2010. I am being told to get a hardship licence to work, I need to get an attorney. My question is... can I do this on my own, or should I get an attorney ? will I be able to get a hardship license ? this is my first offense, no prior dui's. Thank You
