Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

I was at a party and went to go get more alcohol, becasue i had been drinking i had one of my friends come pick me up and take me to the liquor store. He is under the age of 21 but he did not get out of the car and i went in and came back out with the alcohol. We got pulled over by the police a few blocks down the road and they asked where we were going and i told them that he was my dd and he was taking me back to the party, They asked me how much money i was given to by the acohol and i told them that my friend back at the party gave me 20 dollars. They put down in the police report that friend who was just driving me back to the party gave me money and that i bought him alcohol. If i bring the person who actually gave me the money into court and he states that he gave me the money will the charges be dropped.
