Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
have an ex from past relationship that is on the run from warrants apparently. An acquaintancece of mine was with him a few days ago and informed me they were pulled over. He gave the officer my info and posed as me. There are now three citations in my name which I didn't commit and he is still running free. What do I do to clear this up of my name and have him charged.

The Sheriff's department can take your finger prints and compare them to the person arrested to confirm that you are not one in the same. They will then give you a card that you can carry around in case you are stopped while the warrant is pending. Further, it is possible that while he gave your name to the officer in front of the acquaintance, that his true identity was determined at finger printing. This is something that is easy to check if you would like to contact me.
