Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
I have a perfectly clean record for 41 years. I was caught shoplifting in Dec 2010. I go to court this next week and was wondering if you can give me any idea as to the fees and or the record i might have and if there is any way to keep this off my record. The amount of merchandise was like $50.00 and i have paid restitution to the store.

I suggest that you contact local counsel. A counsel familiar with the courtroom procedures, attitudes and practices of the prosecutor's office and judge in that county would be the best person to answer your questions as these can differ from county to county or judge to judge. Good luck.
