Polygraph test
I work for a local moving company and was accused of theft from a customer saying that somethings came up missing on her move. This move took place in October of last year and i was just recently contacted by a detective sometime last week concerning this matter he asked if I'd take a polygraph. I being kinda mad at the fact I'd be accused of such a thing espically since theres no way I took anything, said yes to the test. Since I agreed I have done some reading that I have found says thats not such a good idea. I have nothing to hide but still am a little nervous that I'll be duped into something. How am I to remember anything from that day more than six months ago. I move people everyday five days a week, theres no telling how many moves I've done since then let alone the the moves I've done in the five years I've worked there after a while they all kinda blur together. I haven't been charged with anything so I guess my question is, is it a good idea to take a polygraph without a lawyer and how can I tell the detective I dont want to take the test.

Just tell him you're not going to take the test. You don't have to explain yourself.
