Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
public intoxication first offense
i got a public intoxication which is my first offense of any kind. i will also get charged with minor consumption since i am 20. i have a court date next month. should i get an attorney or is this just to tell me the charges? plus what are some good tips for pre-trial diversion? does anyone know how much i will be fined? if you could answer any of these that would be great.

I think you are ALWAYS well served to hire an attorney when you are facing jail time. Pre-trial diversion is very dependant on the prosecutor, the judge, and other factors.
