Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

i was recently in a gas station and i got some cigerettes and a pop and paid with my credit card , before i walked away the girl behind the counter said hey is that your money , and point to what appeared to be a five and a couplpe ones , i said yes thinking i may have pulled mine out and i took it and put it in my pocket and walked away , i got home and a couple of days later realized i grabbed 800 dollars , so i waited , not wanting to go up there being there are only teenagers in there everytime i go there , i then needing the money spent it , now today i recieve a call from a dectecive asking to speak with me and before i call back i want to know what my rights are

Your rights are that you don't have to talk to the police. If your question is did you have the right to take the money and spend it, the answer is no.
