Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
I recently pirchased two vehicles, in which I wrote checks prospectively for 3,000 and 10,000, because of legal tax issues my account had been frozen so the checks were returned, I cancelled the deal for one of the vehicles 10,000 check and retrieved my old vehicle back. Now the dealership has threaten to prosecute me for both check even though on deal was null and void, they have also failed to file the financing paperwork for the other vehicle 14 days after the transaction.

Only the State of Indiana prosecutes someone. If the state could prove you wrote the checks knowing they would not be honored, then you could be convicted. Otherwise, no.
