Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

Is recieving a life threatening email against the law in Indiana? This is not the first time and the person also sent a threatening text to my wife. Obviously there are laws to prevent cyber bullying but we are gorwn adults. Can charges be pressed and a restraining order obtained? It is my ex with whom I have a child with. She sends threatening emails and texts to my wife all of the time. Would this charge and restraingin order have any weight on a custody dispute in the future? thank you

Yes, if physical threats are made to do harm, you can turn them over to the prosecutor, and they can be the basis for a restraining order. Also, have your wife change her cell number and then don't give that number out.
