Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

---------------

My son took his life, that's what the police department decided, I believe there was foul play, I felt that from the beginning plus other reasons. I have not been able to get the records from the detective department, WHY? I was told that I could get a copy by a lawyer at the law clinic at our local university. WHY? I need to know

Thanks,

Sharon

You can file a formal demand for records under the Public Access Act. If not provided with no good reason, you can file suit to obtain them. Please contact a lawyer in your community and hire him/her to make sure you take these steps properly.

Good luck, and my condolences over the loss of your son.
