Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
states witness said on stand at his trial that another individual sold cocaine to someone else.
he feels bad about lying the to get himself out of trouble and is recanting his statement. what's the worst that could happen. it's his first time being in trouble, and doesn't have a criminal record.

He could be charged with perjury, a class D felony. If this is his first offense, he may be bale to have it treated as a misdemeanor. He needs to hire an attorney asap.
