Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
being sued
My sisters fiancee has a friend and this friend said that he is going to sue my sister for dating his uncle and that she is pregnant by that same uncle. But she has not dated that person since four yrs ago and she is only 7 months pregnant and she never got pregnant with this childs uncle. So can my sister get sued over what this person said? And i know this sounds ridiculous.

Re: being sued
If I understand the question, there is no basis for a legal claim against your sister. Anyone can sue anyone, but they have to have a claim that will be recognized by law...otherwise, it will be dismissed by the court. Tell sis to call a lawyer if she gets sued, and there's nothing she can do about it before then.
