Theft by Conversion?
If someone were to slip a bottle of whiskey priced at $15.47 into their pocket at a grocery store, purchase other items, and be stopped between the two doors of the building by security, is this theft by conversion? What is the maximum charge the person could face?

You could be charged with D felony theft and face up to 3 years in prison.
