Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

threatening to harm some one

My daughter has a boyfriend of 3 years and they have a 6 month old boy. His Mom is on Seroquel and Paxil for Bipolar at least. His Mom says that she feels my daughter or a nephews girlfriend is pregnant and she is going to push them down a flight of stairs. If she is not allowed to hold the baby (cause she is crazy) she will threaten this again. She has a conviction of beating up a pregnant lady and while not charged of pulling her son out of bed in the middle of the night . He was 16 at the time. Is she commiting a crime with these threats?

Re: threatening to harm some one

Any threat of harm, if taken seriously by the person hearing it, should be reported to the police. Whether she ends up charged with a crime is a separate matter, and not within your control.
