Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
Up until today I was obligated to register each year with the Sheriff's office as a sex offender. But the recent court ruling says if I was convicted before 1994 I dont have to register any more. I was convicted in 1993. How much will it cost me to have a lawyer file that notice with the court to have my name taken off the registry.

Sex Registry laws are complex and can result in serious penalties for failing to register. Every case is unique and so it is difficult for an attorney to quote you a flat fixed rate so far in advance with so little information. Its sort of like getting in a taxi and asking how much the fare will be without knowing your destination. You should immediately seek the advice of a local licensed attorney familiar with this area of law.
