Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
wait time
my house was raided by task force for drugs. they got alot of parafanalia and a small amount of drugs. On the list of items taken there was never an amount weight listed. we were never charged with any crime yet. how long do they have to come back and charge us with this crime?

Your facts were a bit unclear on when the police searched your home. However, if this is an on going investigation, then they will not bring it to the state to file chrages until their investigation is complete and they feel confident in what they wish to charge. This could mean a week, 3 weeks, 3 months or longer. You might really consider getting an attorney involved now rather than waiting for the other shoe to drop.
