Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
I was wondering if it would matter if i got a free lawyer vs a paid lawyer. I got charged with false informing over my cousin stealing peanuts and me denying knowing him, which was an a misdemeanor. I also got paraphernalia which is a C misdemeanor. I did 2 nights in jail, and have court the 26th, and dont want to go back to jail ever. This is my first offense and it obviously isnt a big one. I just pretty much want to know what I am looking at and if getting a free lawyer could be the difference between jail or no jail.

You should always hire a lawyer if you can afford one. Remember, "free lawyers" may not cost you...they cost everybody, and are not "free".
