Can I be sentenced without ever being arrested? After accident with injury, taken to hospital, 4 hours later, officer arrived and took statement and blood. Nearly 3 yrs later charges were filed. No arrest has ever been made. Plea deal has been reached, awaiting sentencing hearing, but I don't know if this is even possible. Don't I have to be arrested? My attorney just says if we bring it up, I'll simply be arrested now. What gives?

Your attorney is right. You can be brought to court by arrest or brought to court via summons, which is what was done in your case.
