my son got a dwi he got 90 days suspenion in indiana.He drives a semi truck for a living he did not get stopped in his semi he got stopped in his own car.Now dmv is saying that his commercial drivers license is suspended also can they do that?

Yes they can. The commercial part of your license IS part of your operating license. With him having a CDL, he will not be able to drive until this is straightened out. He will also have a hard time if he switches jobs later on with a DWI on his license- even if it wasn't during the time he was driving the semi.
