Legal Question in Education Law in Indiana
College Denying Transcript
I recently attended one college but am now trying to transfer to another. My former college is refusing to send my transcript to the one to which I am transferring. What are my rights to the transcript and what course of action is best to take?

Re: College Denying Transcript
My guess is that the school is refusing to send the transcript because you have failed to pay a bill that is due.
Try to get that situation ironed out first, and then you'll see a definite improvement in the release of your transcript.
If you verify that all your bills are paid and are STILL having problems getting a copy of the transcript, then you will need to go to the person's supervisor and that person's supervisor and so on until you get the issue resolved.
Best of luck to you!
