We are trying to bring our mother with alzheimers home to Indiana. We have Durable POA and Medical POA but mom lives in Louisiana with stepfather...He has now gone to a lawyer and gotten POA over her....which one supersedes the other....He has had her sign everything into his name.

Sounds like you need to send copies of your POA to all accounts in your mother's name and a letter indicating that yours is valid. You need to contact an attorney in Louisiana immediately. Certainly, he or she should be able to attack the validity of a POA executed by a person suffering from Alzheimers.
