How do elder lawyers charge for skilled nursing home patients? I don't know if we have a case until after the state makes their final determination of my mothers complaint. They are investigating the issue as we correspond. However, if they can't come up with a reasonable solution to our complaint I don't know what recourse we have. The issue is dealing with reasonable house cleaning issues inside of her room and the bathroom facilities being adequate to accomadate the residents inside that room. Please advise. Thank you for taking the time.

Each attorney sets their own fee arrangements and schedules. Most likely though, this would be handled on an hourly charge basis.
